Luís Chaves

Luís Chaves is, since 2002, the National Coordinator of Minha Terra (Portuguese Federation of Local Development Associations), based in Lisbon. He is responsible for the coordination of training projects, communication and animation within the network of Local Development Associations / Local Action Groups, as well as the follow-up of LEADER measures in Portuguese Rural Development Programs. He is in charge of the Portuguese follow-up of ELARD activities since the beginning. Previously, he participated in networking and rural development projects in Portugal and southern countries in the framework of a Portuguese NGO. He graduated as agricultural engineer, specialised in tropical agronomy.
