Supported by the Programme “Support for Agriculture and Rural Development in ATU Gagauzia and Taraclia” (SARD), funded by the European Union, implemented by the UNDP.

The main economic activities are grain agriculture, cultivating the grape-vines and livestock farming, mainly sheep. “Ciumai Winery” is also situated here and, by the way, it is one of the most famous winemakers in the Bugeac steppe. Bee-keeping is becoming more widespread within the territory. The fruit storage (table grapes,plums) infrastructure, and local food processing (fruit dehydration,juice making, etc.) will be soon developed in several settlements.
