The National LEADER Network in the Republic of Moldova was established
On December 7, 2018, the Assembly for the Establishment of the “National LEADER Network in the Republic of Moldova” took place. This event brought together representatives of the LAGs as a member of the Association, as well as several organizations and experts in the field. Representatives of the LAGs in the process of creation also visited the event, having the role of observers.
The meeting took the form of a lucrative meeting. Special guests, including LAGina Petrachi, Representative of the Ministry of Agriculture, Regional Development and Environment, Iva Stamenova, EU Delegation Representative, Panagiotis Patras, Rural Development Expert to MADRM (TA ENPARD) and Marta Marczis, Expert within the SARD Pilot Program in implementing the LEADER approach, came with a word of encouragement, noting the importance of the LEADER program in developing and promoting traditional values both at country level and abroad.
The lucrative session consisted of several stages, and as a result the association status and organizational aspects of its registration were approved. The LEADER National Network will represent the interests of the Local Action Groups throughout the country.
The governing, executive, control, review and oversight bodies of the organization were elected in the assembly. The concept of the Network logo has also been defined.
The General Assembly was initiated by the LAGs of the Republic of Moldova and the organizations involved in the process of creating and supporting the LAGs as well as implementing the LEADER approach in the Republic of Moldova: CRAION CONTACT-Cahul, People in Need Moldova, Pro Cooperare Regionala, The EU-funded SARD program implemented by UNDP Moldova, Solidarity Fund PL in Moldova.
